The 18-foot canoe and the 8-foot sailing dinghy overturned at approximately 11:50 a.m. near Peach Island. Fire officials believe the boaters likely ran into trouble with the incoming flood tide coupled with 10-to 15 knot winds, The Hour reported.

The three were brought back to shore and sent home to take warm showers, The Hour said.
