Two men entered the bodega and pushed the clerk against a wall, Lt. Diedrich Hohn said. One pulled out a silver handgun, and they took $600 to $700 out of the register before leaving, Hohn said.

The clerk described the two as dark-skinned black males in their early to mid-20s, wearing dark hooded-sweatshirts and one in camouflage pants, Sgt. Russ Gladwin said.

The two suspects were last seen running north on Adams Street and behind Cloonan Middle School, Hohn said. Investigators set up a perimeter and had a dog track the men to the Rippowam River by Scalzi Park and the Woodside Firehouse before losing the track, the lieutenant said.

The clerk was not injured, Hohn said. There is no video surveillance at the market, and the clerk was the only person there, he said.
