Police are warning residents to be attentive to their home security in the wake of the break-ins, according to Greenwich Time. The two successful burglaries took place at Old Greenwich homes where someone was able to gain entry through unsecured entryways in the early morning hours, stealing purses, cash and personal belongings, Greenwich Time reported.

In the third instance, the intruder attempted to get into a home before an alarm went off, according to Greenwich Time. Police told Greenwich Time that they believe it is connected to the other burglaries.

Police did not provide specifics on the dates, times or locations of the burglaries, but said that the homeowners were not aware the crimes were taking place, and the intruders did not make contact with residents, according to Greenwich Time. Residents are warned to take preventative measures to protect their homes, and to always lock their doors.
