On surveillance video, an officer noticed two men, one of them wearing a Santa hat, and a woman enter the business on Dec. 22, 2013, and take a pair of keys to a vehicle from the business, police said.

The vehicles weren't taken and it was not known whether the three had planned to return to the business, said Sgt. Kelly Connelly.

Police issued an arrest warrant, and State Police took Morlo Macklin, 40, into custody Wednesday and handed him over to Stamford police, Connelly said.

Macklin, of 1793 North Ave., Bridgeport, was charged with fourth-degree larceny. His bond was set at $10,000 and his first scheduled court date is Feb. 11 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

There was no information on the other two individuals, Connelly said.
