Tasean Lamar Brown, 26, a former Stamford resident, was taken into custody Friday at Stillwater Avenue and West Main Street by police acting on a tip, The Stamford Advocate reported.

Brown, who police say is a person of interest in the March shooting of a 28-year-old man on Richmond Hill Avenue, had a loaded Ruger .357 Magnum revolver on him, The Stamford Advocate said.

The city’s West Side has seen a spike in gun violence, and police have made several weapons-related arrests in recent days, The Stamford Advocate said.
