Bike Stolen At Gunpoint From 12-Year-Old Stamford Boy; 2 Men Arrested

STAMFORD, Conn. — Two men who put a gun to a 12-year-old boy's head to steal his bike at a Stamford park last month have been arrested, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Eli Castillo-Zavala, 24, and Michael Steven Cortez, 19, were each charged with first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery, police told the Advocate. Castillo-Zavala, who police say held the gun on the boy, was held on $100,000 bond, The Advocate said.

The robbery occurred the evening of July 18 at Leone Park as a group of five men approached the boy and demanded the bike as one man pulled the gun, the Advocate said.
