Bear Euthanized After Attacking Miniature Horses In Southbury, Killing One

SOUTHBURY, Conn. -- A bear attacked two miniature horses and killed one of them on Saturday afternoon in Southbury, according to the News-Times.

The female black bear, which weighed about 150 pounds, attacked the two horses at a home on Bucks Hill Road, according to the News-Times. The attack took place in a closed pen, the News-Times reported.

Environmental Conservation Police officers arrived on the scene and euthanized the bear, which was attacking the horses, according to the News-Times.
