Bank Offering Award For Stamford Robbery Suspect

STAMFORD, Conn. — First County Bank is offering a $5,000 award for information leading to the arrest of the woman who robbed a Stamford branch bank in July, a news release from police said.

Any information received will be kept confidential, the release said. People should call the Bureau of Criminal Investigations at 203-977-4417.

On the morning of July 8 a heavy set black woman entered the bank wearing a gray hoodie sweatshirt and bandana over her face and passed a threatening note to the teller, the release said. The woman received the cash and left the bank heading east on Scofield Avenue, the release said.
