Armed Man Takes $1,900 From Stamford Store

STAMFORD, Conn. — A man with gun robbed the Cove Road Mini Mart in Stamford Thursday night and got away with $1,900 in cash, Lt. Diedrich Hohn said.

Armed with a black handgun, the robber forced his way behind the counter and took the money from the register, Hohn said. He then ran towards Ursula Place, he said.

The gunman was about 5-feet-5 and wore a white hooded sweatshirt, a dark hat and gloves, according to Hohn.
