The boy was taken to Stamford Hospital as a precaution for a graze on his head, police told the Advocate.
He was walking alone when he was in hit in the crosswalk at Willowbrook Avenue and Hale Street in the Cove neighborhood, the Advocate said.
The driver was cited for failure to yield right of way to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
