Updated at 7:15 p.m. STAMFORD, Conn. — A 6-year-old Stamford resident was hit by a car on Dale Street on Friday afternoon, police said.

Police did not release the victim's medical condition.

Marishka Tulien, 6, was crossing the street when she was hit by a 1999 Buick Century driven by Moenae Robinson, of Stamford, the police statement said. Marishka was in the street because she had just been dropped off by a van from her summer camp, the statement said.

Speed does not appear to have been a factor, police said.

No charges had been filed early Friday evening, police said. The investigation continued by the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad.
