Yolanda Pacelli, 84, Retired Stamford Board Of Education Employee

STAMFORD, Conn. - Yolanda (Lonnie) Pacelli of Stamford died Tuesday, Oct. 7. She was 84.

Pacelli was born Feb. 22, 1930, to Pasquale and Maria Grace (Moccia) Sullo. She attended Stamford Public Schools, and held various jobs through her lifetime, retiring in 1990 from the Stamford Board of Education.

Pacelli is survived by her daughter, Debra Perry (Kevin); five granddaughters; sisters, Gloria Letkowski of Danbury and Sylvia Bologna of Stamford; cousins; nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Michael; son, Stephen; sister, Mary; brother, Pat; nephew, Robert; nieces, Barbara and Jeanne; several brothers-in-law; and sisters-in-law.

Calling hours are Thursday, Oct. 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17 at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. Inurnment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Pacelli’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
