Born in Camden, S.C., Boyd was an assembly-line worker for various Stamford companies.
She was a member of Heart of God Ministry in Stamford. She read the newspaper and watched CNN daily.
Boyd is survived by her daughter, Deborah "Sissy" Boyd of Stamford; stepdaughter Marie Washington of Florida; grandson Iverey "Jaz" Lyons and his wife Evelyn Lyons; great-grandchildren Elexxus and J.J. Lyons; special nieces Dorina "Dobie" Hayes and Jackel "Jackie" Robinson; and a host of extended family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Postell; son, Ronald; siblings Almeta Robinson, and Thelma, Otis and Marion Kelly; and her parents, William and Rosa Kelly.
Calling hours will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 9, at Parkway Assembly of God, 260 New Canaan Ave., in Norwalk. A celebration of her life will follow, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow, at Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Ave., in Norwalk. Community Funeral Chapels is assisting with arrangements.
