Ulisses Manha, 49; Native Of Brazil Formerly Lived In Stamford

NORWALK, Conn. -- Ulisses Manha, 49, a Norwalk resident who formerly lived in Stamford, died on Sunday, Dec. 28 at Norwalk Hospital of cancer.

Manha was born in Brazil, and came to the United States where he married his wife, Luzia, on Jan. 9, 1988, and then returned to Brazil for seven years. Upon returning to the U.S. in 1994 he and his family lived in Stamford before moving to Norwalk nine years ago.

Manha He was employed at Greenwich Hospital for 15 years. He embraced life, was a passionate cook and a lover of animals.

He is survived by his wife; two children, William and Clara; four sisters and many other family members in Brazil.

A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, at 2 p.m. at Villa Maria School, 161 Sky Meadow Drive in Stamford.

Contributions in his memory may be made payable to Luzia Manhan for the future benefit of the Manha children.
