STAMFORD, Conn. -- Thomas F. Christie Jr., of Stamford, died Wednesday, Feb. 3. He was 76.
Born in Mount Vernon, N.Y., Christie graduated from Yale University. He served as a U.S. Naval officer and aviator for five years before starting a long career as a banker.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Hashagen Christie; sons Thomas Christie and his wife Monica and Peter Christie and his wife Melanie; grandsons Jonathan, David and Colin Christie; sister Martha Christie Nash and her husband James; brother-in-law John Hashagen and his wife Huntly; and three nieces.
Christie was predeceased by his parents, Thomas Christie and Dorothea Brancard Christie.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13 at Evangelical Community Church, 1155 Newfield Ave., Stamford. Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, in Stamford, is assisting with the arrangements.
