Theresa Vena Nargi, 98, Former Stamford Judge’s Assistant

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Theresa Vena Nargi, 98, of Valdosta, Ga., formerly of Stamford, died Tuesday, March 31.

She was born Sept. 24, 1916, in Stamford, to the late Anthony and Philamena Moccia Vena.

Nargi worked as a bookkeeper for the Royal Typewriter Co.

She later worked as a personal assistant to the judge of Stamford’s Probate Court.

She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Valdosta, Ga.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Nargi; four sons, Michael (Charlene) Nargi Jr. and Robert Nargi, both of Valdosta, Ga., Edward (Janice) Nargi of Hahira, Ga., and Ronald (Ellen) Nargi of Stuart, Fla.; 18 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Three brothers, James Vena, John Vena, and Michael Vena and one daughter-in-law, Margaret Nargi, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 6, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Valdosta, Ga.

Father Brian LaBurt will officiate.
