Theresa M. Pia, 90, Former Longtime Stamford Resident

HUNTINGTON, Conn. - Theresa M. Pia of Huntington, formerly of Stamford, died Friday, Aug. 2. She was 90.

Pia was born in Stamford, daughter of William and Annette Stassano, she was a Stamford resident for most of her life prior to relocating to Huntington in 1983.

Pia is survived by her husband, Alphonse; daughters, Noreen Fodiman (Bruce) of Huntington and Patricia Pia-Krupnik (Stan) of Stamford; brother, Frank Stassano (Jennie) of Darien; sister, Catherine Sansone of Darien; and a grandson. She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Helen; and brothers, Joseph and Peter.

Calling hours are Monday, Aug. 5  from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6 at St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Huntington. Interment will follow in Lawn Cemetery, Shelton.
