STAMFORD, Conn. – Theresa Frances O'Rourke, a longtime resident of Stamford, died on Saturday, Sept. 19 at Masonicare in Wallingford. She was 87.
O'Rourke was born on June 15, 1928, in the Bronx, N.Y., to Patrick and Catherine (McManus) O'Rourke.
She graduated from the Academy of Mt. Saint Ursula High School in the Bronx, attending secretarial school and working for Frank Munson, the CEO of General Reinsurance Corp. in Stamford and rising to the position of his executive secretary.
She was predeceased by her parents; four sisters, Mary, Katherine, Alice and Josephine; three brothers, Patrick, John and Eugene; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, located at 2119 Post Road in Darien.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. John R.C. Church, located at 1986 Post Road in Darien.
Interment will follow at St John's Cemetery in Darien.
