Theresa DeMasi, 90, Of Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. – Theresa A. DeMasi, 90, died Saturday, Feb. 28.

She was born Aug. 14, 1924 in Stamford to the late Charles and Maria Rinaldi Trombetta. She was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Stamford High School class of 1942. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, golf and University of Connecticut women's basketball. She was an order clerk for Stamford Superior Drug Company before she retired.

DeMasi is survived by her daughters, Rosemarie DeMasi and her spouse, Joan Castle, of Atlanta, Georgia; Jean Torok and her husband, James, of Norwalk; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four sisters.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Michael A. DeMasi, a brother and a sister.

Family and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:20 a.m. Thursday and proceed to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 566 Elm St., Stamford for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at St. John's Roman Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum in Darien, Conn.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in DeMasi's memory to a charity of one’s choice.
