Chianelli was born June 3, 1918, in Bristol, R.I. She attended Mt. Hope High School and Bryant College and went on to work with Bob Sports Shop in Stamford for 35 years. She was married to Frank Chianelli.
Chianelli is survived by her children, Phylisette Thoma, Ralph Chianelli and Anne Vancho; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are Sunday, Nov. 2 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Ave., Stamford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3 at St. Bridget of Ireland Church, 278 Strawberry Hill Ave., Stamford. Burial will follow at St. John Roman Catholic Cemetery, Darien.
