Theodore Komsta, 96, Lifelong Stamford Resident

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Theodore Komsta, a lifelong resident of Stamford, died Wednesday, Feb.24. He was 96.

He graduated from Stamford High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, when he was stationed in the Pacific and served aboard the USS Antietam. He later worked in the plastics industry.

He is survived by his second wife, Rosemarie Komsta; and his daughter and son-in-law, Kalinka and Stan Zasinski.

He was predeceased by his parents Alexander and Josephine Komsta; his first wife Betty Boshka; his son Bruce Komsta; and his brother Walter Komsta.

Calling hours will be Sunday, Feb. 28, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Ave., Stamford.

A prayer service will take place at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 29, at the funeral home, followed by the interment at Woodland Cemetery in Stamford.
