STAMFORD, Conn. - Teresa Docimo Gelling died recently. She was 45.
Gelling was born in Stamford to Rocco and Carmelina Docimo. She attended Westhill High School and went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. After graduation, she worked as a professional photographer and makeup artist. She later went on to receive her Masters Degree in Special Education from Manhattanville College and worked in the Stamford Public School system.
Gelling is survived by her children, Victoria and Liam; sisters, Sarina (Domenico) Bria, Massimina Docimo, Rosina (Frank) Binetti, and Lina (Robert) Furnari; nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles; and many cousins. She was predeceased by mother, Carmelina.
Calling hours are Thursday, Sept. 12 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13 at St. Agnes Church, 247 Stanwich Road, Greenwich. Entombment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Greenwich.
