Stefano Pirolozzi, 75, Of Stamford, Retired Pitney Bowes Employee

STAMFORD, Conn. - Stefano Pirolozzi, a longtime Stamford resident, died Wednesday, Sept. 24. He was 75.

Pirolozzi was born Oct. 29, 1938, in Minturno, Italy, to Salvatore and Alessandra Rotelli Pirolozzi. He was in the landscaping business and also worked at Pitney Bowes until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of the Minturnese Social Club.

Pirolozzi is survived by his daughters, Maria Gentile (Richard) and Sandra Spadaccini (Dino); sister, Teresa Pirolozzi; brother, Antonio Pirolozzi in Minturno, Italy; many nieces and nephews in Italy and Stamford; and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; son, Salvatore Pirolozzi; brothers, Pietro and Leonardo Pirolozzi; and sisters, Nina and Maria Pirolozzi from Italy.

Calling hours are Friday, Sept. 26 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home Saturday, Sept. 27 at 8:40 a.m. and proceed to Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph’s Mausoleum at St. Mary’s/Putnam Cemetery, Greenwich.
