Stanley T. Kosinski, 85, Native Of Stamford

STRATFORD, Conn. - Stanley T. Kosinski of Stratford, formerly of Darien and Westport, died Sept. 1. He was 85.

Kosinski was born April 19, 1928, son of Joseph Kosinski and Mary Bogacki, and was raised in Stamford. He attended Holy Name of Jesus Church and School and graduated from Stamford High School. He also attended engineering classes at Bridgeport University. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was discharged in 1952 with the rank of sergeant. Prior to living in Stratford, Stan and his family lived in Darien for over 30 years and Westport for 10 years.

The early years of his career were spent at Crawford and Russell. The last 20 years of his career were spent as the president of Recon Associates.

Kosinski is survived by his wife, Martha of Stratford; children, Patricia Kosinski of Brookhaven, Pa., Kenneth Kosinski (Karen) of Westport, Robert Kosinski (Janice) of New Canaan; five grandchildren; sister, Jane Karwoski of Stamford; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.

Calling hours are Wednesday, Sept. 4 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 5 at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 4 Pulaski St., Stamford. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien.
