Stamford's Janice B. Wolfe, 83, Worked At Wolfe’s Cleaners

STAMFORD, Conn. - Janice B. Wolfe of Stamford died Sunday, Dec. 15. She was 83.

Wolfe was born Oct. 7, 1930, in New Haven, to Henry Brown and Bess (Meltzer) Brown. She attended Rider College in New Jersey from 1948 to 1950. She moved to Stamford in 1955.

She worked for Wolfe’s Cleaners, which was founded by her former husband, Robert, and is now owned by her sons in North Stamford. She was a lifetime member of Hadassah.

Wolfe is survived by her sons, Ricky, Steven, Kerry (Lori) of Stamford, David (Aleta) of Clovis, Calf.; and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; and sister, Hilda Kolbin.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, at Leo P Gallagher Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St., Stamford. Interment to follow. Shiva will be observed at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, and Thursday, Dec. 19, at 180 Glenbrook Road in Stamford, Unit 52, and 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Dec. 20.
