She was born in Terre Haute, Indiana. She attended Indiana State College and earned a degree in teaching Speech and English. She went to New York and attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She toured nationally with several different productions: "Fatal Weakness", "The First Mrs. Fraser" and "Point of No Return." She also appeared in television and radio commercials. After her marriage she moved with her husband to Stamford, where they lived for 37 years. She had several jobs outside the home, at Lord & Taylor, Jewelry by Jose Grant and Smith Corona. After her husband’s death she relocated to Fort Collins, to be near to her daughter.
Fredricks is survived by her daughter, Wendy "Alison" (Fredricks) Dickson; and son, Jon Wyndham Fredricks; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Bill.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12 at Timberline Church.
