Rudolph P. Marcy, 90, Stamford Resident

STAMFORD, Conn. – Rudolph P. Marcy, of Stamford, died Thursday, Jan. 21 at Stamford Hospital. He was 90.

He was born in Stamford on June 29, 1925, to the late John and Fannie Rinaldi Marcy. He owned two service stations in Stamford and worked as an auto mechanic for most of his life until his retirement in 1988. He loved spending time with his family, was an avid baseball fan and always enjoyed a good western movie. He was a member of Teamster Local 191 and the NRA.

He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Marcy-DiDonato, and her husband, Santo; two granddaughters, Jaclyn DiDonato and Jainee DiDonato; a brother, Richard Marcy; several nieces and nephews as well as a daughter-in-law, Laura Marcy, and her children.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Mary Gatto Marcy; his son, Wayne P. Marcy; and his sister, Annajane Mazzucco.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Leo Parish, 24 Roxbury Road, Stamford. Interment will be private and there will be no calling hours.

The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
