STAMFORD, Conn. – Rose M. Cipri, 86, a lifelong Stamford resident, died Sunday, April 19.

She was born Aug. 18, 1928, to the late Nicola and Josephine Mericola DiSette of Stamford.

Cipri was a nursery school teacher at the Italian Center in Stamford until she retired in 1995.

Survivors include two sons, Anthony (Gina) Cipri of Brookfield and Richard (Lisa) Cipri of Wilton; one sister, Philomena Scognamiglio of Italy; and four grandchildren.

Her husband, Anthony Cipri; two sisters, Louise Montefuscoli and Jeanne Avantino; and one brother, Alexander DiSette, preceded her in death.

Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of St. Ceciia, 1184 Newfield Ave., Stamford.

Interment will follow in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, 25 Camp Ave., Darien.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
