Richard T. Scalise, 70, Of Stamford, VP, Dickmont Plastics Corp.

STAMFORD, Conn. - Richard T. Scalise of Stamford died Dec. 28. He was 70.

Scalise was born April 18, 1943, in Stamford; son of Richard and Doris Scalise. He was vice president of Dickmont Plastics Corp. in Stamford, a family run business that started in 1955. He was a member of the Society of Plastic Engineers where he served on the board of directors. In the late 80’s, he founded R&G Industries and developed Oyster Bend Marina and Townhouses which provided much enjoyment for the boating community. He was a member of the South Norwalk Boat Club.

Scalise is survived by his wife, Connie Scalise; son, Richard T. Scalise, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Norwalk; daughter, Roxanne G. Scalise of Trumbull; three grandchildren; and brother, Donald Scalise of Fairfield. He was predeceased by his mother, Doris Coughlin Scalise; and sister, Elaine Twardy.

Calling hours are Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Collins Funeral Home , 92 East Ave., Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at 10 a.m. in St. Cecilia Church, 1184 Newfield Ave., Stamford. Interment of Ashes will follow in St. John Cemetery, 25 Camp Ave., Darien.
