STAMFORD, Conn. - Richard R. F. Conseur of Stamford died Saturday, Jan. 18. He was 71.
Conseur was born Nov. 11, 1942, born to Raymond and Anne Conseur in Philadelphia. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High school and Penn State University. He was a captain in the U.S. Army.
For the past 25 years, he was a ballroom dance instructor and owner of Dick Conseur's Ballroom Dance Studio. He was a professional musician and instructor of drums and percussion. Before his career in dancing, he worked in the food service industry as vice president of the Rego Corp., THC Systems, ARA Services, and the Campbell Soup Co.
Conseur is survived by his wife, Carmen; son, Damian; daughter, Claudine (James); two grandchildren; brothers, Allan and Raymond; sister, Isis; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Ned and Paul; and sister, Jeanne.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at St. Leo Catholic Church, 24 Roxbury Road, Stamford.
