Raymond N. Kellogg III, Of Stamford, 87

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Raymond Nelson Kellogg III, a Stamford resident, passed away Sunday, Feb. 22, in his home. He was 87.

Kellogg was born in the Bronx, N.Y., and graduated from Stamford High School. 

He attended Rutgers University and the University of Connecticut. He was a proud World War II Navy veteran and served as president of several banks in Connecticut. He was an avid golfer, animal lover and a passionate American patriot. 

He is survived by his wife, Mimi; and children, Raymond N. Kellogg IV, Susan L. O'Keefe and Pamela C. Jarrell. He is also survived by six granddaughters and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ellen M. Klein Kellogg, and his second wife, Leah Ramini Kellogg.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, Feb. 26, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Gregory the Great in Bluffton, S.C.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to Capital Needs Fund, St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC 29909.
