STAMFORD, Conn. - Randy Anna Williams of Stamford died Saturday, Feb. 23. She was 95.
Williams was born in 1917 in Fall River, Mass., to Anna (Bengtsson) Swanson. She moved to Sweden as an infant and lived in the town of Vårberg until moving to Brooklyn, N.Y., at the age of 11. She graduated from Commerce High School in Brooklyn.
Williams retired “early” at the age of 85 and moved to Stamford, where she continued her very active life. She was a volunteer at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Williams is survived by her two children, Clark Williams, of Scarsdale, N.Y. and Janet (Ken) Segerdell of Stamford, Conn.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Tuesday Feb. 26 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford. A memorial service will be held Wednesday Feb. 27 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 884 Newfield Ave., Stamford. The service will be followed by a luncheon. The Rev. William Kroeze and Rev. Edwin Larson will officiate.
