Ralph Angelo Valenzano, Of Stamford, 97, U.S. Army Veteran

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Ralph Angelo Valenzano died June 6, 2015 at the Regency Heights Nursing Home in Stamford. He was 97 years old.

Valenzano was born June 16, 1917, in Stamford, and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Stamford High School in the class of 1934 and served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1942-46. Valenzano was employed by the Stamford Advocate for more than 25 years as a printer and was a former member of the Elks B.P.O.E. Club of Stamford. 

He is predeceased by his father, Michael Valenzano; his mother, Angelina Lasalandra Valenzano; his stepmother, Nancy Lasalandra Valenzano; three brothers; and two sisters.

He is survived by one sister-in-law, Ruth Valenzano; five nephews and one niece; eight grandnephews and five grandnieces; and one great-grandnephew and one great-grandniece. 

There are no calling hours. The burial will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fairfield Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Nutmeg State Cremation Society, Stamford.
