Peter Mihaleas, 91, Of Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Peter Mihaleas, a resident of Stamford, died Tuesday, Jan. 26. He was 91.

He was born in New York City on June 5, 1924, to Spiro and Helen Mihaleas.

He was the owner of the Springdale Diner and later used his culinary skills to multiple eateries in and around Stamford.

He is survived by his children, Perry Mihaleas and his wife, Kim, of Stamford; and Helen Santoro and her husband, Scott, also of Stamford; and six grandchildren.

He is also survived by his sister, Andonia Madonis of Queens, N.Y.

He was predeceased by his wife, Nina Condos.

Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 29, 2016, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home at 2900 Summer St., Stamford, Conn. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Archangels, 1527 Bedford St., Stamford, Conn.

Interment will follow at the Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery at 230 Oaklawn Avenue, Stamford, Conn.

The family requests that donations be made in Peter's memory to the Ladies Philoptochos Society of the Church of the Archangels or to the Church of the Archangels.
