Nina Lopez Bow, 90, Of Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. - Nina Lopez Bow of Stamford died Sunday, Dec. 1. She was 90.

Bow was born in La Baule, France, and moved to Spain with her family in 1939. She came to New York City in 1950. She was a resident of Stamford. She was a Red Cross nurse in Northern Spain, and held positions in diverse professions, including personal secretary to the Governor of Guipuzcoa (San Sebastian, Spain). In the United States, she worked many years at the Queens County Neuropsychiatric Institute. She was married to Charles Bow.

She was involved in the Connecticut artistic community. Over the years, her paintings have been exhibited in more than one hundred locations in the tri-state area and Florida.

Bow is survived by her daughter, Ana Mossa; a granddaughter; cousins; nieces and nephews; and many friends. She was predeceased by her first husband, Jose Lopez.

A service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Leo P Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St., Stamford.
