Niki Skiadas, 72, Of Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. - Niki Skiadas, of Stamford, died Friday, March 15. She was 72.

Skiadas was born Feb. 5, 1941, in Greece to Christos and Demitra Psychopedas. Skiadas as member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of Stamford.

Skiadas is survived by her sons, Paul Skiadas (Traci) of Stamford and Chris Skiadas (Erica) of Norwalk; sisters, Euginia Stavrianos (Stelios), Helen Mazarakos (Kostas) and Patricia Psychopedas, all of Stamford; sister-in-law, Barbara Psychopedas of Stamford; and two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and her brother, Peter Psychopedas.

Calling hours are Monday, March 18, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home& Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, with a Trisagion to be celebrated at 7 p.m. A funeral service will be celebrated Tuesday, March 19, at 10 a.m. at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 1230 Newfield Ave., Stamford. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Woodland Place, Stamford.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Skiadas’s memory to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 1230 Newfield Ave., Stamford, CT 06905 or to The Carl & Dorothy Bennett Cancer Center, 34 Shelburne Road, Stamford, CT 06904.
