Myron F. Kerstetter, 72, Former Stamford Resident

GREENWICH, Conn. - Myron Francis Kerstetter, a resident of Stamford who recently moved to Greenwich, died Tuesday, Sept. 23. He was 72.

Kerstetter was born June 9, 1942, to Marlin and Velma Kerstetter in Norfolk, Va. He grew up in central Pennsylvania and attended Pennsylvania State University obtaining a degree in electrical engineering and graduating in 1964. Following college he had a career with IBM and Xerox before becoming one of the founding employees of the Gartner Group. Recently he was active in the Stamford small business community as a co-owner and operator of La Dolce Vita chocolate shop on Bedford Street.

Kerstetter is survived by his sister, Julia Lee of Long Beach Calif.; children, Lauren Kerstetter of Philadelphia, Pa., and Kristopher Kerstetter of London, United Kingdom; and a grandchild.

A memorial service will take place at 6 p.m. at the Unitarian Church at 10 Lyons Plains Road in Westport.
