STAMFORD, Conn. – Michelina Meriano Cicarelli of Stamford died Oct. 13, surrounded by her family. She was 89.
Born March 4, 1923, in Castelvetere Sul Calore, Italy, she was the daughter of Michelangelo and Teresa Petruzzi Meriano. She was married to Michele Cicarelli for more than 40 years. He predeceased her.
Cicralli is survived by a daughter, Carmela (Cesare) Del Vaglio, of Stamford; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home and Crematory in Stamford. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Cecilia's Church in Stamford. Entombment will follow at St. John's Mausoleum in Darien.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Cecilia's Church, 1184 Newfield Ave., Stamford, CT 06905.
