Michele Tanguay Twomey, 58, Of Stamford, Volunteer At Stamford Schools

STAMFORD, Conn. - Michele Tanguay Twomey of Stamford died Oct. 30. She was 58.

Twomey was born Oct. 23, 1956, in Montreal, Quebec, to Paul Tanguay and Huguette Simard Tanguay. She graduated from Brebeuf College, studied at L'Ecole du Louvre (Paris) and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (1980) and a Bachelor of Art Education (1981) from Concordia University (Montreal). She was an artist, an entrepreneurial business woman and a recognized chef. She was a volunteer in Montreal and in Stamford schools.

Twomey is survived by her husband, Sean Twomey; children, Shannon and Christine Twomey; mother, Huguette; brothers, Georges and Robert Tanguay; sisters, Louise Tanguay and Christine Serrano Tanguay; sisters-in-law, Sioban Manganaro, Deirdre Rhora and Creina Twomey; and a niece and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Paul.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3 at St Leo's RC Parish, 24 Roxbury Road, Stamford. Interment will be Sunday, Nov. 16 at Cotes des Neiges Cemetery in Montreal, Quebec from 3 p.m.
