Michael Napolitano, 95, LIfelong Stamford Resident, Security Guard

STAMFORD, Conn. - Michael Napolitano, a lifelong resident of Stamford, died Wednesday, Dec. 25. He was 95.

Napolitano was born May 3, 19198, in Stamford, to Giovanni and Rosa Giordano Napolitano. He was the oldest member of the Gravenese Society. He was a longtime member of the Church of St. Cecilia. He was a security guard at the former Fidelity Bank of Stamford and also worked as a security guard at the University of Bridgeport, Stamford Campus for 20 years before his retirement and was a special police officer with the City of Stamford.

Napolitano is survived by his daughter, Donna Napolitano of Stamford; brother, William Napolitano (Nancy) of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Rose Napolitano; daughter, Rita Napolitano; sisters, Camillia Maiorani, Ficetta Nuro, Mary Romaniello; twin sister, Nettie Curcio; and brothers Samuel , Peter and Nicholas Napolitano.

There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28 at the Church of St. Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Ave., Stamford. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Michael’s memory to the Church of St. Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT 06905.
