Michael David Bromley, 60, Former Stamford Resident

WESTPORT, Conn. - Michael David Bromley, a resident of Westport and a former Stamford resident, died Thursday, Oct. 10. He was 60.

Bromley was born Aug. 5, 1953, in Queens, New York, son of Adele and Irwin Bromley of Jupiter, Fla. He practiced law. He was in general practice in Stamford and more recently was an assistant secretary and general counsel at the University of Bridgeport.

Bromley is survived by his parents; his wife, Susan Gunn Bromley; daughters, Sara Bromley of Stamford and Melissa Bromley of Durham, N.C.; son, Matthew (Elizabeth) Bromley of Stamford; brothers, Alan Bromley (Cynthia) of Holden, Maine, and Hank Bromley (Susan) of Savannah, Ga.

A memorial service will be held at a future date. The family will be sitting shiva at the home of Ellen Bromley and Tom Gizicki Friday, Oct. 11 from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
