STAMFORD, Conn. -- Matthew Mack of Stamford died on Wednesday, Jan. 21.
He was born in Wagram, N.C., son of Robert and Georgianna Cook Mack. He was a well-known chef throughout the area and retired from the Marriott Hotel Inc.
In addition to his wife, Sherrie Charley Mack, he is survived by one son, Timothy Beswick (Helen); 14 grandchildren; one brother; three sisters; a godson; and many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Visitation will take place Wednesday, Jan. 28, from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by a service of celebration at 11 a.m. at Union Baptist Church, 805 Newfield Ave., Stamford with the Rev. Robert W. Perry officiating. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park. Downer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
