Matilda C. Raus, 89, Of Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. - Matilda C. Raus “Tilly” of Stamford died Monday, March 31.She was 89.

Raus was born Sept. 9, 1924, in Stamford, to Antonio and Pasqualina (Riccardelli) Conte.

Raus is survived by her sons, Dr. John Raus (Joanne), Robert Raus (Noreen); daughter, Maria Politica (Steven); six grandchildren; and sister, Ida Saunders. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, John; son, Donald; sisters Rose Lopiano and Mary Conte; and brother, Michael Conte.

There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 3 at St. Clement’s Church, 535 Fairfield Ave., Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Darien.
