Mary R. Sowitcky, 93, Formerly Of Stamford, Retired Clairol Inc. Employee

STAMFORD, Conn. - Mary R. Sowitcky, formerly of Stamford died Monday, Sept. 1, in Athens, Ga. She was 93.

Sowitcky was born Dec. 17, 1920, in Greenwich, to Andrew and Susanna Hudri Revella. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church and more recently a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Athens, Ga. She was a member of the Ladies Aid Society, the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She retired from Clairol Inc., having worked in the factory as a traffic clerk.

Sowitcky is survived by her son, Peter (Rosemary Robinson) Sowitcky, Jr., of West Haven; daughter, Linda Sue (Paul) Schroeder, of Watkinsville, Ga.; and five grandchildren; a great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Peter Sowitcky; sister in law, Anne Stashenko (John Sr.); brother, Andrew Revella (Freda); sisters, Anne Nessler (Joseph) and Amelia Hinlicky Pirina (John); and brother, Paul B. Revella.

Calling hours are from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at the Bosak-Talboys Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St., Stamford, CT 06905, with a service to follow at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 265 Seaside Ave., Stamford, CT 06902 with Rev. Jack Breznan officiating. Graveside services will follow immediately afterward at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery at 230 Oaklawn Ave.
