Cappellirei was born Jan. 28, 1927, in Mount Vernon, N.Y., to James and Violet Smith Dunn. She was married to Alfred Cappellirei.
Cappellirei is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Monaco (Renaldo) of Milford, Eileen Noordyk (Neil) of New Jersey, Maureen McCabe (Robert) of Trumbull, Doreen Quell (Thomas) of Fairfield, Maryanne Kushner (Jerald) of Trumbull; sisters, Helen Kotos of Bridgeport and Barbara Cioffi of Florida.; 13 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and sister, Ethel Vlacich.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Nov. 24 at 10:30 a.m. directly in Saint Ann Church, 501 Naugatuck Ave., Milford. Interment will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery, Milford.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Stroke Association or to the Alzheimer's Association.
