Morris was born Aug. 26, 1926, in Stamford, to Frank and Josephine Goglia Sidonio. She was raised in Stamford and attended Stamford public schools. She was employed at Atlas Powder, Co., Greenberg's , Machlett Labs, Cotton Fair and finally retired from General Signal Corp.
Morris is survived by her children, Margaret M. Pavia (Christopher) of Stamford, Richard Morris (Susan) of Riverside, John Morris (Arlene) of Brookfield, James Morris of Middletown, P., Brian Morris (Carissa) of Dillsburg, Pa., and Michael Morris (Irene) of Antioch, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother, John Sidonio of Alabama; sister-in-law, Arlene Sidonio of Dorchester, Mass.; many nieces, nephews; and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, John J. Morris, Sr.
Calling hours are Monday, Sept. 22 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home Monday, Sept. 22 at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Church of St. Cecilia,1184 Newfield Ave., Stamford. Interment will be private.
