STAMFORD, Conn. - Luis (Lucho) DeJesus Rios of Stamford died Wednesday, Aug. 28. He was 86.
Rios was born May 19, 1927, in Colombia, S.A., to Luis Felix Rios and Antonia Puche.
Rios is survived by his wife, Alicia Martinez Rios; sons, Luis E. Rios (Debra) of Stamford and Jose Rios of Stamford; daughters, Rocio R. Soto (Ismael) of Stamford and Mayra M. Rios of Stamford; two grandchildren, Luis A. Rios of New Jersey and Cristina A. Rios of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and sisters, Ana Mercedez Melendez and Margo Rios.
Calling hours are Friday, Aug. 30 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:35 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31 and proceed to the St. Benedict-Our Lady of Montserrat Church, 21 Saint Benedict Circle, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Woodland Place.
