Louise Sebastian, 98, Longtime Stamford Resident

STAMFORD, Conn. – Louise Sebastian, a longtime Stamford resident, died Oct. 25 at Stamford Hospital. She was 98.

Born Aug. 25, 1914, in Mineola, N.Y., Sebastian was the daughter of Ludwik and Jozefa Majkowski. She was active in her church, Holy Name of Jesus in Stamford, where she was a longtime member of the Holy Name Rosary Society and Holy Name Senior Center.

Sebastian was predeceased by her husband, James Sebastian; two sisters, Theresa Maciag and Sophie Stepkoski; and two brothers, George and Frank Majkowski. She is survived by a son, Peter Sebastian, of Stamford; two sisters, Jenny Malewicz, of Ohio, and Helen Majkowski, of Long Island, and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Stamford. Bosak Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made to the Holy Name of Jesus Church Restoration Fund.
