Louise A. DeMarco, 95, Former Stamford Resident

STAMFORD, Conn. - Louise A. DeMarco, a former resident of Stamford, died Saturday, Aug. 30. She was 95.

DeMarco was born Aug. 8, 1919, in Stamford, to Domenico and Pasqualina Zogarola Pontanella. She was employed at Machlett Laboratory as an assembler until her retirement. She was a member of the Milford Senior Citizen Center.

DeMarco is survived by her children, Kathy Ann Inzitari (Robert) of Milford, Michael A. DeMarco, Jr. of Stamford, Robert D. DeMarco of Norwalk; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Michael A. DeMarco, Sr.; sister, Sarah Nolan; and brother, Joseph Pontanella.

Calling hours are Wednesday, Sept. 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home Thursday, Sept. 4 at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at the Church of St. Cecilia,1184 Newfield Ave., Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John's RC Cemetery, Darien.
