STAMFORD, Conn. – Lorraine Mattis, 86, a lifelong resident of Stamford, died on Saturday, Jan. 17, at Regency of Stamford.
She was born on Oct. 26, 1928 in Stamford to Edward and Susan Mazza.
She is survived by her husband, Richard G. Mattis of Stamford; her daughter, Lynne Cooper of Florida; a sister in New Canaan, Conn.; a brother in Noroton, Conn.; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Lorraine was predeceased by her sons, Gary and John Currivan and a sister, Vera Calabrese.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, Jan. 23, at 11 a.m. at Fairfield Memorial Park, Oaklawn Avenue, Stamford. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mattis’ memory to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
